Take a look at just one of the Photo Galleries you will learn how to make!!

how to insert a photo gallery in Expression Web

The photo gallery above was made using HTML and CSS in Expression Web 3.  But it doesn't matter which version of Expression web you own, you can still make this very same photo gallery!  How many images??  The photos you see are the only images used to make the photo gallery.  Everything else is CSS background-colors, borders, and other positioning properties.

The options that we can add to this photo gallery are many!  Learn to use jquery to magnify each image when its clicked.  Make it scroll using CSS.  Style the Scrollbar using CSS.

We can change one style and turn it into a product page for your ecommerce web site.  The possibilities are endless.

Learn How to use Jquery to Make Simple Interactive Menus:  The Accordion Menu

Once you learn how to use Expression Web 2 or 3, then it's time to add Interactive Components to your web pages.

These are very simple tutorials that are very appropriate for the Beginner.  You do not need to learn how to write Jquery, but you do need to be able to copy and paste code.  Which I will teach you.  That's it.  Oh, and follow directions.

Here is a sample of the Accordion Menu.  Another sample.  Keep in mind, an accordion menu can have many different looks and styles.  They can be vertical or horizontal.  They can be narrow or wide.  ETC..

I am going to continue to add JavaScript Tutorials using premade scripts to add Interactivity.  I like Jquery because it is amazing, and it's simple to add to a web page.

How is the Class Structured?

First, the class consists of Videos that are on the CDs and DVDs that you can purchase from this site.  But that's not all.  There are many more videos and different videos that go into greater detail about Web Sites, Web Pages, CSS, and so on.   (you do not receive the CDs or DVDs.  I am just trying to compare this class with the videos on the CDs/DVDs.  The class is strictly online.)

A new section of the class has also been added and is updated often.  Now you will learn how to insert "Web Components"** into your pages.  For instance, would you like to add accordian menus?  Tabbed menus? to you web pages?  You will learn how to all that.

**Note: These are not FrontPage Web Components.

Many Document Downloads Have Been Added

You will be able to download Worksheets, Chapters from my Book, and sample files.

First Things First

Before you can add web components you must first learn how to make layouts, Dynamic Web Templates, navigation menus, and understand how the float property works.

You will also be provided with resources to help you plan a web site.  Actually, these so called resources are actually assignments.

You will learn about:

.....everything you need to know to build and manage a web site.

Learn More About CSS & HTML

I will also guide you in learning more about CSS and HTML.  HTML focuses mainly on learning the basic HTML Tags that are most frequently used to build a web page.

Learn How To Publish a Web Site

This entails learning how to find web hosting, pick a domain name, set up your hosting prior to publishing (ftp or FrontPage Server Extensions),  learn what settings you need to use in Expression Web 2, how to run reports prior to publishing, and more.

You will also be able to ask me questions should you have any.

Where is the class Located?

The class is hosted on a secure site that requires a username and password.   I was initially going to use Moodle to make the class, but the learning curve for me and you is too long.  In light of this, I made web pages that take you through the lessons using Expression Web 2 and 3.

Upon purchasing the class, you will be redirected to a location where you can register your personal info, username, and password.   Once you receive confirmation in your email, you will be able to access the course.

You will have access to the online class for 6 months.  If for some reason you need more time, please use the Contact feature located within the class web site to contact me.  I know sometimes we buy something, but then don't get around to it.   You can extend your access for $8 per month.

You also have the privilege of asking questions and requesting a specific tutorial!  If you don't find something you are looking for, then just ask me about it.

I am always looking for ways to improve the class, as such, I am making checklists and worksheets to help you keep track of the concepts you need to learn.  Your input is also welcomed and appreciated.

This course should cost at least $150 to $200.

However, I would like everyone to be able to afford the class, especially beginners.

Get 6 months of access for one low price of $49.99.  That comes to $8 per month.
