Most of you should start over From Scratch in Expression Web.
Why?
Because FrontPage Web Sites have a lot of excess and invalid code. And it is so much easier just to design one new web page in Expression Web, Save that page as a DWT (dynamic web template), and make new pages from that template. Then, copy and paste your content into those new web pages in Expression Web.
You can take my advice or you can set it aside and do something else. Before you do that, just let me share with you what a customer shared with me recently.....
This customer tried to do what I said not to do... that was 2-3 years ago, and a lot of money wasted. He's now back to my tutorials and doing things the way I suggested. He found out the hard way. And hey, some of us have to take that road.
But you don't have to. Save yourself a lot of time and aggravation. Don't try to convert an existing FrontPage web site into an Expression Web - web site. FrontPage just has too much garbage in the code and it needs to go.
If you attempt to 'convert' a FP site, you have to 1) learn how to convert a site and 2) Learn how to use Expression Web.
That's too much work in my mind. And that is the very reason it doesn't work. Focus on just ONE. I say focus on learning Expression Web. And put FP in the past.
It's EASIER & FASTER to start from scratch in Expression Web. You might not believe that, but that's only because you haven't watched my Step by Step Tutorials on DVD or Online class. There too you can save a ton of time and money. $40 for a set of DVDs OR pay a web designer.
Again, in EW, Design one web page. Save it as a DWT. Make new Pages from the DWT. Copy and paste your content into your new pages.
You will learn to do just that with my DVDs and/or Online class.
